Not as shown & do NOT buy thru APDTY,
Imagine my dismay/surprise when I received a pair of «Monroe MaxLift 901382» hood supports from APDTY instead of the Armstrong brand shown/ordered. Even though these Monroe hood supports have the same number (4048) as the Armstrong brand they are longer than the ones on my hood. Even when you enter «Monroe Maxlift 901382 hood supports» in an Amazon search they say they do NOT fit my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
In being a long-term Amazon Prime customer I called rep «Kat» and complained. Rather than taking care of this she said I’d have to contact the 3rd party, APDTY, to have them returned. She nor I was able to contact APDTY by phone at 6pm even though they say their customer service number is listed as being open until 8pm. Even if I wanted the correct Strongarm 4048 hood lift supports through APDTY they have them listed for $25/each and say the Armstrong 4048 is for the liftgate which is wrong since they’re for the hood!
For the heck of it I tried the Monroe Maxlift 901382 and they did fit/work OK. We’ll see how long these Monroe «turkeys» made in Turkey last!
Amazon should just do away with this whole ad altogether since you don’t receive the Armstrong 4048 lift supports through APDTY as shown. They are also waay too pricey at $38/pair or $19/each. Click on the «Armstrong» blue-highlighted link near the top/right of this ad. You will see the correct Armstrong 4048 hood supports for 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees at $13.24 each fulfilled by Amazon. Or you can use the link below and forget the 3rd party (APDTY) who sends you a different brand, doesn’t answer their CS phones, and can’t even list the correct application for the Armstrong 4048 lift supports. You will also save $12.42 in buying 2 of the Armstrong 4048 hood supports fulfilled by Amazon vs going through this 3rd party ($38 -$26.48 = $12.42).

I originally had 1 star for this rating but changed it to 2 just because I was able make the Monroe hood lift supports fit/work. 2 stars is being generous the way this whole nightmare order went.
