BASS and TREBLE are in there!,
Overall I am extremely pleased with this receiver. It looks great installed in my Mk4 Jetta and it even supports the steering wheel controls! I paired this receiver with 4-Polk DB651s and a DB840 sub (in a custom sealed enclosure in the trunk) powered by a separate amp. Now that the speakers and sub are broken in and I’ve tuned it as best I can, I am extremely pleased with how the system sounds for the price (I spent less than $425 total).
The Bluetooth works without a hitch when listening to music and people tell me that my phone calls are crystal clear. The receiver does not have a built-in mic for the Bluetooth though, but it does include a wired mic that you can attach to your headliner or dash.
The DVD display quality is quite good, although I had to bump the contrast up a couple of steps to make it more visible in full sunlight. Unfortunately, there is no dimming feature so you’ve got to manually adjust the screen brightness at night unless you want to be blinded. Rear view camera feature works just fine too.
For those complaining about it hanging when you remove your media, follow the instructions and dismount the device first or turn the radio off before removing the USB stick or SD card. I do have a few minor gripes. The bass and treble adjustments really should be included in the setup menu, it should have a dimmer setting, the navigation for the USB and SD card leave a lot to be desired, and the menu transitions could certainly be faster.
All in all, this is an extremely good value and i would highly recommend this Boss Audio BV9372BI receiver. For the price it can’t be beat. I am really, really pleased with it.
