   GOT THIS ON MAY 8, BY AUGUST 8, IT WAS JUNK. IT KINDA FELT CHEAP FROM THE GET GO, BUT I FIGURED I’D GIVE DORMAN THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT…BOY WAS I WRONG. REPLACED DRIVER SIDE WITH GENUINE GM, THAT WAS KINDA PRICEY, SO FIGURED I’D SAVE SOME CASH AND GO WITH DORMAN FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE, BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE A GOOD PRODUCT. I’LL NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN. THE WARRANTY IS LIMITED. SO BOTTOM LINE IS…I’LL END UP PAYING FOR THE GM PART ANYWAY, PLUS THE 20+ BUCKS I SPENT ON THIS JUNK.

   Update: Contacted Amazon. They told me to contact the manufacturer warranty dept., which I did. Dorman dropped the ball and I didn’t receive any response to my email, but here’s the kicker…Here is what Amazon told me,»In case you don’t get any response from manufacturer then please write back
   to us. We will take care of it.» Thank You Amazon for standing behind your customers! BTW, Amazon did take care of this issue, and they were very understanding. As for Dorman,shame on you for your customer service.

   This was an easy repair of a broken handle. The moving components are all plastic, so I could see it breaking if treated roughly. I’ve had this one for about one year with light use and it seems to be holding up just fine.

   Purchased this for my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 ext cab. Simple to replace (literally 2 screws) and works perfect. The only way they could improve this is if they made it out of steal. I broke my last one when my door stuck a little. The plastic just isn’t made for that pressure.
