   Original handle for 2009 GMC Sierra broke at point where handle screws enter handle. Common problem for this OEM handle. New handle looks and feels like OEM, but at a fraction of cost. Found following link to video on how to replace the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0t-xs6uAQg. Took me about a half hour. Tools needed: 10mm socket with extension, thin screwdriver, needle nose pliers. Have window all the way up when doing so you can have space to access handle from inside door.

   A couple of nit picky issues I have with this handle is that it is NOT an exact replacement for the OEM equipment. The OEM equipment has a more rubberized texture on the grasping (interior) part of the handle, whereas this Dorman 80546 is chromed 100%. Water gasket appeared to be more of a plastic nature versus the rubber version from the OEM. Aesthetics are comparable to the OEM. Original gasket fit firmly to the handle base, whereas this one fit loosely.

   Service was excellent, part fit as reported, arrived in a timely manner.

   In my situation, I used the base (mount) of the handle and used the OEM from the truck as that part of the handle was not broken. The result is as near OEM as I could muster given the cost and timeline for the rebuild.

   My review can be very high due the quality, it can be a good temporary thing, i can see the defects.

   Well coming back for the second review, don’t buy this and buy the original, my complaint is that after a couple of month after installed the part looks like scratched will ended replacing due that defect and the the other reason is because i ordered for a cadillac and don’t really want to exposed the defect on a prestige car.
