It seems like this is a common problem for these Ford Fusions. It took 15 minutes to remove door panel/controls, remove old one, replace, refit door panel and controls. Much cheaper and faster than what the Ford dealer quoted ( $150 and 1.5 hours of labor??? Seriously?) It fits perfectly, cosmetically the same, but noticed some differences internally. Works just like new, and got it aligned even better than they had it from the factory. Its only been in the car for a week, but I will report back if there are any problems…

The right connector from the handle to the latch broke. There are two of these connectors so I can still open the door if I place my hand to the left of the handle instead of the middle or right side. It looks like I will have to replace this door handle again.
