EVANS-POWERSPORT Evans Powersports Coolant - Half Gallon/1.89 Liter Jug
  • Evans Waterless Coolant operates at conventional coolant temperatures, but boils at 375F
  • Evans Waterless Coolant is stable and lasts the lifetime of the engine
  • Evans Waterless Coolant won't overheat like conventional anti-freeze
Evans Waterless Coolant operates at conventional coolant temperatures, but boils at 375F. Common coolant temperatures are too close to water's boiling point. Evans Waterless Coolant won't overheat like conventional anti-freeze. Water's low boiling point causes detonation and pump cavitation. Evans Waterless Coolant resists both of these problems. The anti-corrosion additives in anti-freeze settle out, forming the sludge found at disassembly. Conventional anti-freeze must be replaced regularly. Evans Waterless Coolant is stable and lasts the lifetime of the engine. Evans Waterless Coolant is used by factory race teams around the world.

I used Evans in my Ducati with magnesium heads to prevent corrosion. As magnesium reacts with water, this Evans is water-less. I have been using Evans for about 8 years in 3 motorcycles and 2 cars. Absolutely no corrosion, scaling, nothing!

I race MRAN desert races and it solved the overheating problem I was having on my 2007 KX450F. Prior to Evans I was using Engine Ice and after a race I would be 6 – 8 ounces low on coolant. After a race using Evans the coolant level was still correct!

Running a perfectly stable stock temp of 171F-190F max, now runs 171F-202F, which is still well within operating temperature. Hottest days outside temp. 125F with 80% humidity. The bike will at 170F thermostat opens, 173F fans turn on, 230F system uses soft spark to lower temps (never saw that number). The only benefit is no expansion or pressure on plumbing. One bottle is enough to fill up the coolant system plus 10% extra, 3L/3.2qt for bike. Buell 1125r 2008 race ECM modified MAP.

unverified…seems to take longer to heat soak ie. get to that higher temp, and bike seems to be peppier (butt dyno) maybe due to the ECM may feed it more fuel to compensate for higher temp?…not sure, still need to log A/F. Temp sensor needs to be re-calibrated for different density of fluid?…not sure… fluid dynamic engineer can chime in here.

I flushed with the pre treatment, 1 gal jug, flushed 3 times ie drain fill run to normal temp. Still had slight yellow color from stock antifreeze in it. After a week, added @ 2 oz., just a top off from trapped air.

Will I go back? I’ll give it till next summer before making decision.
