Get a geniune Denso filter,
The factory filter says MADE IN USA on it. The FRAM filter says MADE IN CHINA. Enough said. I bought a Toyota to escape cheap materials and inferior quality. I recommend getting a Denso filter instead. That’s what I’m doing next time.

defective filter,
My own fault for not inspecting immediately when received, but I’ve never had an issue with a filter in the 40+ years I’ve been replacing, so I didn’t think to check it prior to the time I was ready to use.
So FYI to just beware that defects can exist, and you only have so much time to return.
