Ok so I brought my 2009 Honda Fit in for a routine oil service and it was recommended to me that I change both my air and cabin filters – and it would cost $200 for parts and labor. Now typically I blindly accept whatever service is needed but changing a filter really sounded like something someone like me (totally mechanically inept) could do. I did a bit of research and viewed a few videos on YouTube and realized that changing these filters would be as easy as changing a lightbulb. I purchased the FRAM CF11182 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter as well as the K&N 33-2422 High Performance Replacement Air Filter ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002EIE2J6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_3 ) and within minutes had replaced both filters and couldn’t be happier I took this route.

Now since I replaced them I do feel like the air quality in the vehicle has improved , but really this is not an easy thing to quantify. What I can quantify is I am getting 10 mpg better after, which is a few mpg better than when I purchased the vehicle (brand new). So I am happy with the product(s) and highly recommend them! DIY and save some coin!

Got this for my ’12 Honda Fit. Filter fit in perfectly with no gaps and the construction quality of the FRAM seemed to be just as good as the OEM Honda filter. Can’t say I noticed the «fresh breeze», but for just a few dollars more, having the carbon and baking soda can’t hurt.

I was concerned about 2 things. Would it arrive on time and would it fit my car without issue. Both worked out fine. It is exactly the same size as the OEM version that I replaced. The filter itself is constructed somewhat differently, but for a cabin air filter I’m sure it will be fine. A few minutes Changing the filter was a snap. Just watch some on-line directions. I saved $40 from what the dealer wanted to install and $14 on the cost of the filter alone.

Replacing these was so easy and I didn’t have to look all around and pay dealer prices to get filters. easy to replace…but REMEMBER to keep the plastic container or holder. I thought it was part of it and through it out (like the airfilters for the engine have a plastic rim). Had to go on line and buy replacements…live and learn..but better to learn from someone else!

You should watch the YouTube video to see how to replace it — it helps.. (just search on YouTube for: cabin air filters CRV). The whole thing takes 5 minutes once you see how. Fits my 2005 CR-V, and others… Made the AC run better, and you believe how disgusting the old filters look!

i have a 2003 Honda civic lx and it has about 114k miles on it i bought my car used at 70k and the ac hasn’t always been at its maximum potential so i decided to look into it and it turns out that it has never had its cabin filters replaced ever. so i bought these and the difference is unbelievable. before i change these the air blew out like if it was on low on high blast and on medium it didn’t even feel like it was on so i have to have it on high just to a light breeze from my ac. then these were put in and now i am feeling the full effects of my ac i have it now in between low and medium to and puts out enough air for me. if you have a 2003 Honda civic lx and your ac is not blowing at top performance i suggest you buy these. the install is too easy so don’t pay anyone else to do it for you did it in 3 minutes at night.
