   I bought this to update my connection from my iphone 7+ to my kia optima and it doesn’t work. I would not recommend it for any updated iphones, it’s probably made for older iphones, but I’m stuck with it now. I went back to using the cigarette lighter with a different cord and Bluetooth, which actually works. It just something I have not use for since it don’t work.

   Followed instructions to the letter, but it just doesn’t do what it says it is supposed to. I drive a 2013 Elantra. Connection through the USB portion times out, just like the normal Apple lightning cord. That also means that it doesn’t power the phone…or allow you to change a track from the steering wheel or console. The headphone jack would allow music to play, but again, no control aside from the phone itself and no power. Even that doesn’t fit through my case though, and it’s not that thick. Summary: this is utterly useless.

   Had to be patient and «confirm» that I still wanted it twice! But it finally arrived and works great. For reference purposes, I have a 2012 Kia Soul, without Bluetooth or steering wheel controls. Basically, I’m plugged in with an iPhone 6S through the headphone jack and charging through the USB port in the vehicle. IMHO, kind of high priced, but saves having 2 cords for the phone. And I’m playing all audio, Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, etc. If you’re patient and your vehicle doesn’t have Bluetooth, you’ll like this.
