   This is a good screen door latch, but be aware that it comes with zero instructions. On my application, after a number of tries, I found that I needed to mount it as low as possible. One other thing. The sellers of this door latch seem to think that it’s unimportant for the buyer to know how pick out the correct latch; left, or right. Even after consulting an RV tech, I ended up getting the wrong latch for my Motor Home. It seems half of the RV techs don’t know how to decide either. Here’s how to get the correct one: From standing INSIDE the RV, if the door latch is on the right side, you need a right side door latch. If the latch is on the left, you need the left side latch. It’s very simple, but if you don’t know what perspective you should have (from inside, or outside) you have a 50% chance of getting it wrong.

   Purchase this to replace the broken latch on my camper. For all of you out there were trying to figure out if they should purchase the left-handed or the right-handed one left this for review be the one that helps you. This is for a door that swings out to the left. To make sure that you understand what this means I will state it in this way. If you are in the camper the handle is on the right-hand side and the door swings out to the left. If you are outside the camper the handle is on the left-hand side and the door swings out to the right.

   Our door latch broke to the screen door. This one is heavier than the one that was originally on the door.
