   This item was out of stock for awhile and I received it after it became available. The center product graphic is now different from what Amazon is showing and it even now says ‘All New!’. So apparently it has been redesigned from the one most people have reviewed here. The raised grip areas are described and shown in photo as leatherette. Instead, they are some type of velour over foam rubber. If you would prefer velour over foam rubber instead of leatherette or don’t care, this item may be a winner for you.

   PRO: After using several months in summer and winter – the velour over foam rubber works great for temperature insulation from hot and cold! So I’ve upgraded the rating to 3-stars.

   It might even work better than leatherette in that regard. But it is puffier looking and I don’t like that. It would be better to describe and display the actual item in greater detail so buyers are not surprised. Also, EXTREMELY difficult to install on a 2012 Prius steering wheel which is definitely a very small diameter steering wheel. Some people might not be able to install it. But once installed, it is going to stay in place while driving which is what you want. However, it is so small, that it barely covers over half the circumference of the steering wheel grip dimension which gives it a poor feel and appearance.

   the Honda Civic 2012 has smaller than average steering wheel so your average size cover will not fit. This fits perfectly and is comfortable.

   2010 – 2013 Prius steering wheels are 13.5 vertical by 14.5 horizontal. This size fits the prius perfectly. Since the steering wheel isn’t heated this cover works quite well.
