   I bought this steering wheel cover for my butterfly obsessed 16-year old sister for Christmas ’10. It looked fantastic, and she was thrilled to see it, until she read on the product that it contained LEAD and it shouldn’t be used by your hands for long periods of time. Um…yeah. Isn’t that the whole point of the product? What a bummer.

   Although the steering wheel cover is designed for comfort in either cold or hot weather, which it accomplishes okay, the raised panels and stitching are obtrusive and uncomfortable. And, to make things worse, the materials used smell so bad, your hands always end up stinking of rubber and even a gasoline-type of smell. I now wish I had purchased another, smooth style cover with no stitching/panels on it.

   Bottom line: it works, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

   I loved the colors on the butterflies, very realistic. It was very hard to get on the steering wheel. Had to get hubby to help. After having it on my steering wheel for a week it started to come apart, very disappointing.

   I was looking for this and finally found it on Amazon. Yes, all the previous reviews are correct with the difficulty of putting the cover on the steering wheel and once it’s on don’t expect to make any adjustments, which is perfectly fine with me. I do not want a cover that moves around or is too loose. The quality of the massage grip disappointed me. After only 3 weeks some of the massage grips started to fall off! Three weeks is unacceptable to me.

   Eh what can I say, its a steering wheel cover. It is very hard to put on at first (at least it was for me) so just be expecting that. Also, it makes your car smell like fresh leather for a few days, which I didn’t mind but just a heads up. Over all, though, for around $5 this is a pretty good steering wheel cover. I personally like the grip on it though some people may not. But for the price, its worth giving a try, chances are you will like it.
