   I paid $6.54 for this and the thread is only enough to cover 1/4 of the wheel. If you are really going to sew just like what shows in the picture, the provided thread will only cover 1/5 of the wheel.

   Good product, but horrible execution. I cannot imagine how much thread would actually cost. How could you sell a product that is half-baked and call it a product.

   i like this DIY job. it sinks you into the love of the car. my only recommendation is that is you buy this, stitch it every 4th hole or you’ll have a lot left over. and get a stronger needle mine broke. you’ll also need some players, you’ll see why when your stitching.

   The cover is actually very nice. The challenge here is to stitch the cover together and eliminate wrinkles when you get to the spokes of the steering wheel. Also, make sure you buy the right size cover. I bought one for, what looked like, a kid’s toy steering wheel.

   I replaced my original steering wheel with this one because mine was plastic, I have had this wheel for over a month and switched back to my original again. even though this one is metal it feels cheap. I didn’t like how skinny the grip feels, the metal is as thin as they could possibly make it without quite bending but it does flew. if u just need a steering wheel this one will work but you will not be impressed

   I bought this as a replacement for a Craftsman riding lawnmower. The original was plastic. I had the mower about a year before the wheel cracked. It could not take the stress of anyone levering themselves out of the seat with their legs so far apart. I, temporarily, reinforced it with a metal bracket. Then a crack developed on the other side.
   I had to engineer the new one to fit the original Sears aluminum steering gear. A OEM wheel was $29.99 plus shipping. I have found that Sears Parts shipping is always high priced so I saved $2.50 on the new stronger wheel plus $14 to $17 shipping, handling, and tax. **Thanks to Amazon’s free shipping.** I expect the new wheel to last a long time. If I or my family ever need a new riding lawn mower, we will look at the steering wheel first!
