   I was glad I found this aftermarket door handle at a reasonable price, about a third what the dealer wanted. When comparing the old factory part to the one I just purchased, I can’t tell the difference. I was able to reuse the original lock assembly and installation was simple but time consuming. About a 90 minute job for me but for a person that’s done these a few times can knock it out in about an hour. You have to practically remove everything from the door, same as you would to replace the window or register. No special tools but you need a little more dexterity and patience for a trouble free install.

   A long involved job to replace. Not heavy lifting but make sure your swear jar is empty before you start, it’s gonna take a lot of swearing to get this thing in. Then it’s not going to fit perfect but it will work.

   I installed this on a 1996 GMC Sierra 2500 and it fit great. The install was a bit of a pain but the handle worked great.
