- Activated silicone-coating action makes windshield water repellent
- Resistant to all adverse weather conditions
- Properly balanced to provide equal pressure on the windshield
- Designed to help keep the rubber on the glass at highway speeds
- Compatible with any type of windshield
The PIAA wiper blade is made of a high-quality silicone rubber compound that is resistant to all adverse climate conditions. In addition, the blade's activated silicone coating makes your windshield water-repellent, so rain beads-up and slips off the windshield. The wiper frames are aerodynamically designed to help keep the rubber on the glass at highway speeds, and to protect against corrosion, the frames are zinc-plated and then powder coated. Each frame is properly balanced to provide equal pressure on the windshield to prolong blade life; this design also gives you clearer, noise-free operation.

High Hopes, Disappointing Results,
I took my time following the directions exactly. I got my windshield very clean and dry using clean microfiber towels. I then applied the pre-treatment evenly over the entire windshield, waited for it to dry/cure, then wiped it off/clean with another clean microfiber. I installed the blades and ran them dry for 5-10 minutes as instructed.
I did notice the beading during my first rain with these and noted that it is effective at speed. Unfortunately, I do most of my driving in traffic so I do often have to use the wipers themselves. At first, they did a great job clearing water and didn’t leave any streaking. However, they soon began to leave a very thin smear/streak over the entire surface of the windshield when they made a pass (more noticeable when there is a glare or artifical light source at night). This smear did clear/evaporate on its own in 4-5 seconds, but by then there was enough rain convering the windshield to where another pass was needed with the blade. These DO NOT ever leave a clear, streak-free windshield on my car during normal operation.
They do a fine job of moving water, but my search will have to continue for a blade that actually leaves a windshield compeletely clear during operation.

Wouldn’t purchase another brand,
I cleaned the windshield very well (used black and white newspaper, which leaves fewer, if any, streaks), and wiped the windshield down with the cloth that comes with each blade in the box. Let it dry, with the wiper arms elevated off of the windshield, for at least ten minutes.
I was shocked at how well these blades clean the windshield. It’s really amazing.
The water beads up when the car is just out in the rain sitting unused. Literally, the water just sits there, beaded. Then, when you activate the wipers, all of the water just gets pushed right off, without a sound or even a streak left behind.
On the highway, you will find yourself not using your wipers as much as the other vehicles you pass. It’s very empowering, really. The faster you go, the more raindrops just get «pushed» off of the windshield by the force of wind.
So, I have a set on my old faithful 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. Same deal, they work just as fantastic as the blades on our Chevy. Drving in the rain is much easier with these. I cannot express that enough.
I have heard of Bosch. Valeo, etc. Not impressive, guys. PIAA makes rally racing equipment- example, off road lights, wheels, etc. They make quality products.
You will spend a little more on these blades than you would your bargain basement Auto Zone blade refills. Gotcha. But you get what you pay for. You can’t put a price on safety.
And I don’t know about those Spoiler wipers that PIAA makes or those Forza strange looking wiper blades. All you need are these Super Silicone blades.
