Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS Apps,
and also the backup camera. I also installed electronic bypass to use all of the cool stuff while driving. .
Dont waste your time or money for the Apps. First off if you do be ready to install the Apps yourself. Not too many
places know how. Next the cables are a rip (I found mine tolerable on line) and the Apple adapter is a joke
for the price. They make the lighting cable coming off the adapter 6″ long. I purchased an extension cable but
thats just another connection to fail at a later date. Next the Apps are limited and the «good» ones are an additional
pricey fee. The response of the touch screen in App mode is a joke, the response of the App is a joke, in general
the Apps are a joke. You WILL loose your Pandora Art work and switching between modes is nothing but a hassle.
I contacted Pioneer about the issues and after a 30 minute wait and endless E-mails it was a tough luck attitude
response. DON’T WAST YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON APPS until Pioneer makes it work.
End result is I ripped out the App cables and adapter and use my phone for GPS, Weather and anything else.
Lastly before you buy check around the internt for the best price. Dont pay the $400 list. I found it for $260 and
Best Buy matched the price. They will as long as it’s not E-bay.

Recommended already,
Bluetooth is very clear. Easily paired with Android wirelessly and has no problems with running Pandora. He talks about it constantly.

It’s OK.,
That said, the AppRadio portion is sub-par. It looks like this is an alpha feature. It is quite sluggish, and not very intuitive. On top of everything, it requires a $50 dollar cable from Pioneer, and a $40 dollar cable from apple to make my iPhone 5S work on it. If your thinking of buying this radio for that feature, give it up. Not worth it yet. This feature is very green and rough.
The screen layout appears to be designed by a person that does not have any design skills, and never drove a car in his/her life.
It’s 2013! The screen should look much better than it does.
The use of the screen looks way too modular, with small surfaces to input touch, and artificially implemented barriers for information.
Some of the screens are just awful – I played a CD today and this thing would not tell me which track number I was playing, really?!?!?
The operation of the receiver is enigmatic to say the least. To this day, I haven’t quite figured out how to operate the radio. I’m talking about the frequency scan. This should be a lot easier.
Frankly, I was expecting a lot more in terms of design and usability.
