   You saved me $140.00. I bought this on spec, after my driver’s side door handle broke off and thought as it was so inexpensive–if it didn’t work, I could always order the $144 part from the dealership. I took it into the dealership today and it worked–they had no problem installing it. BTW, I have a 2002 Prizm Basic.

   I broke my original door handle trying to hope my door during a freezing rain storm (big mistake). This worked ok as a replacement, my only complaint is that it didn’t fit back into the spot like my original handle did, it was about 1/16 inch off so it sat a little slightly down than my original handle. I fiddled with it quite a bit to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and finally gave up. It’s working fine though.

   For the price I paid, I wasn’t expecting it to be a perfect replacement. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything fits perfectly, and it also seems to be made of more durable plastic than my original door handle. I know where to go if any more handles snap on me.
