Good replacement for OEM part,
The original bolts had threadlock on them so had to be broken free. I suggest that you free all four first before removing the struts.
As stated by others, the Durango tailgate is very heavy. I used a scissor jack with a flat piece of wood as a base for a 2×4. Then I could use the jack to minutely raise and lower the door until I got exactly the right height to line up the bolts. I would suggest a helper nearby to prevent the door crashing down on you if the jack slips – I was fortunate that this did not happen to me. Setting this up probably took longer than replacing the struts, but worth the effort.
Also, screw in the bottom bolt first as you have less room to work. Once that is in, the top is much easier.
