   It turns out, they compare the «percent brighter» to the end-of-life brightness of a standard bulb.
   That makes this actually only 5-10% brighter, which doesn’t make much difference.

   Either save the dollars and go with the Long Life version,
   or pay a little extra for one of the super-bright versions.

   This is a brighter bulb than original and it will NOT last as long as the original OEM… it basically says so right on the back of the package.
   I bought some Sylvainia SilverStars in the past and they are even brighter. But they cost more, and you were lucky when they lasted longer than a year.
   That being said… these are cheap on amazon. They are a bargain, even if they don’t last as long.
   And a SINGLE bulb at Walmart is $12. Buy two and keep a spare. I do.

   We originally went to AutoZone to look at these bulbs to replace a burnt out bulb in our Lexus. The price was double the price of what Amazon charged. Bulbs arrived quickly and work wonderfully.
