Take the hype for what it is:
Understand that these bulbs are dimmer than standard H7, they save energy the same way a 60W bulb uses less energy than a 75W bulb.
Standard H7 bulbs use 55W, this is only 50W (9% savings).
A SilverStar Ultra High Performance halogen headlight (H7) is 65W!
They are not 25% brighter than a regular bulb, they are dimmer, at least they are clear that they are brighter than an OLD regular (55W), forgot to mention that they measure the regular H7 as it is about to fail (to get a favorable comparison).
Is like saying that your new VW has better fuel economy (or pollute less) than a 1955 Mercedes on its way to the junk yard.
They may last longer has they do not run as hot.
Is a trick restaurants and other businesses use with their incandescent illumination (use 130VAC bulbs instead of 120VAC on a 120VAC circuit) to get a longer life even if it is at the expense of lower illumination.
I’ll used them only on the low beams and I do most of my driving in town. So for me they are OK.
I have tried their Silverstar Ultra in the past, they are brighter, but lasted 1/4th the life of a regular H7. Funny that that fact is clearly stated on this and regular H7 packs, but not on the SilverStar or SilverStar Ultra.

So far so good.,
I will say that they are bright. Even though they run at 10w lower than my OEM VW bulbs there is no noticeable difference in brightness. So while they might not be silverstars they are as bright as a normal 55w bulb.
